Summary

Oh， what an emotional ending。 I put off reading the last 70 pages or so for the last week because I didn't want it to end。 And yet， the ending is fitting。 It is what was supposed to happen。 It's hard to leave Hogwarts for the last time （at least for the last traditional school year） at the end of book six。 The magic of Hogwarts in particular is wonderful; it's innocent in its exploration and intent in a way that isn't replicated in the final chapters of the Wizarding world's story。All said， I'm Oh， what an emotional ending。 I put off reading the last 70 pages or so for the last week because I didn't want it to end。 And yet， the ending is fitting。 It is what was supposed to happen。 It's hard to leave Hogwarts for the last time （at least for the last traditional school year） at the end of book six。 The magic of Hogwarts in particular is wonderful; it's innocent in its exploration and intent in a way that isn't replicated in the final chapters of the Wizarding world's story。All said， I'm excited to remember the adventures of the conclusion included book seven。 。。。more

The writing for this series got progressively worse。。。 till it stopped doing that and started getting better。 I think this is the most well written so far， but like the other books I have a hard time with the deaths in these books because they always feel fake。 It always feels like the dead character is gonna pop out and be fine a second later， I don’t like that。 But overall， good book。

Další díl opět plný dobrodružství a překvapení。 Sice mě velmi bavilo prozkoumávání minulosti lorda Voldemorta， někdy mi už ale přišlo， že byl děj příliš vleklý。 Trochu mě také rozčilovaly rozpory ve vztazích hlavních hrdinů。 Bylo mi líto Snapea a na závěr nechyběly ani slzy。 Bez všech těch emocí by to ale nebyl tak úžasný zážitek。 Rozhodně se co nejdříve vrhnu na sedmý a závěrečný díl！

I put off reading this for way too long。 But I'm so happy I finally did。There were so many things I loved about this book in the series。 The entire story is like a foreboding note in a piece of music。 It was just perfect all around。 And the sass from Harry that we got to see blossom in Order of the Pheonix SHOWED UP。 Why they didn't include all of his sassy moves in the movies is beyond me。 "Do you remember me telling you we are practicing nonverbal spells， Potter？""Yes，" said Harry stiffly。 I put off reading this for way too long。 But I'm so happy I finally did。There were so many things I loved about this book in the series。 The entire story is like a foreboding note in a piece of music。 It was just perfect all around。 And the sass from Harry that we got to see blossom in Order of the Pheonix SHOWED UP。 Why they didn't include all of his sassy moves in the movies is beyond me。 "Do you remember me telling you we are practicing nonverbal spells， Potter？""Yes，" said Harry stiffly。 "Yes， sir。""There's no need to call me 'sir，' Professor。" Legend。 Also， why did no one tell me how awesome Ginny was？？？？ Like， I love her？？？ She needed more screentime in the movies。 And I love her and Harry together！ And Remus and Tonks！！！But Dumbledore。。。 This entire book felt like an ode to him。 I loved to see how his mentorship/friendship with Harry has progressed and come to a head in this book。 I also loved Fleur and loved her arc in this one。 Another character we didn't get to see a lot of in the movies！ She was awesome， and I love her sticking up for herself and Bill in the aftermath of that Death Eater battle。 The backstory that we get on Voldemort/Tom Riddle is so much richer in the books than in the movies。 You learn his upbringing， how he came to be， and the weight that Slughorn carried for feeling as if he was the reason behind Voldemort descending into darkness。 Sluggie was a bit of a slimy Slytherin， to begin with， but over time， I really grew to like him。 The scene where he finally gives Harry the memory always pulled at my heartstrings in the movie， and in the book， even more so。And Dumbledore not giving a flying flip about Tom Riddle was amazing。 He wasn't buying his crap for a second。 "I know what you are known as，" said Dumbledore， smiling pleasantly。 "But to me， I'm afraid， you will always be Tom Riddle。"***Voldemort sneered。 "If you do not want to give me a job-""Of course I don't，" said Dumbledore。 "And I don't think for a moment you expected me to。" And the sadness that he felt！ How horrible must it be to watch someone you taught and watched grow up， completely rip themselves apart （literally） and become the darkest Wizard that ever lived？ 。。。a great sadness filled his face。 "The time is long gone when I could frighten you with a burning wardrobe and force you to make repayment for your crimes。 But I wish I could， Tom。。。I wish I could。" Rowling has a way of making me root for characters that are so unbelievably complex， grey， and broken。 Draco， Snape， Narcissa， even Tom Riddle's mother。 Malfoy was just a scared kid， and Severus was so entangled within a web of his own magical espionage （🤣）。 Narcissa just wanted to protect her child， and Tom Riddle's mother fell in love with a muggle who would never love her back。 It was all so heartbreaking！ I could see Harry's reasonable hatred for most of these people， but it still hurt。 AGH。 Everything about this was amazing。🎵 Songs I Listened to While Reading: Harry Potter Sleep Playlist on Spotify🎵 Writing Quality: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★World-Building: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Characterization: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Dialogue: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Plot: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Pacing: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Enjoyment Level: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★「 Overall: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 」 。。。more
